In the beginning of the working procces, before the actual design, I decided that my stamps should look slightly different from the stamsp that the shop has to offer. That’s why I started to think how could they look like and how plants could be involved. classic stamp In the design of the classic stamp I used the picture of a plant. It was pomegranate. I decided to avoid using common perforation, because nowadays the popularity is gained by sticking stamps. I came up with the black and simple stamp, got rid of everything that was excessive, for the purpose of keeping persons’ attention on the main function of a stamp, which is representing the value. concept stamps For this task I had to create three stamps. One for Czech Republic, one for Europe and one for the rest of the world. I decided not to use any figurative drawings, but to work with the shape, that’s always more expressive. For the stamp for Czech Republic I choose the square shape, the third stamp for the world I designed round, because the round shape is associated with the world. The stamp for Europe has a transitional shape. I didn’t use any perforation, excessive details or colours, so that a person would better read the shape of the stamp. Experimental stamp In this task I don’t offer such modest designs as in the first two tasks. There is no black colour, because the health of the postmen is on stake! The design consists only of funny colorings, that will be coloured by the post workers, so that everything serves the purpose of healing the depression of postmen. My design has two benefits: 1. Garanteed happiness of post workers. 2. The possibility of incessant production of stamps, because the stamps will only have simple pictures, that almost every designer will manage to draw in less than 5 minutes.
